On his own initiative, and on the basis of media information that a father from the vicinity of Petrovac na Mlavi had repeatedly had a sexual intercourse with his minor child, the Protector of Citizens initiated a procedure to control the legality and regularity of the work of the Center for Social Work in that city.
The Protector of Citizens asked the CSW Petrovac na Mlavi to submit a detailed report on the measures and activities taken in this case within 15 days and to inform him whether there have been any reports, knowledge or suspicions of possible abuse, violence or neglect of this child or other children from that family.
The Protector of Citizens also learned from the media that the judge for the previous procedure of the High Court in Pozarevac ordered a one-month detention for the father from the vicinity of Petrovac na Mlavi.
